We have been retained by an iconic and market leading engineering and technology brand to identify a leader for their European business. As Regional Director for Europe, you will assume full P&L responsibility for 10 markets in which the group operate a direct-to-consumer sales channel model that accounts for one third of their revenue.

The group is currently in the midst of an exciting transformation journey having invested significant resources into developing a new bespoke IT platform, along with a highly innovative next generation product roadmap, incorporating a suite of digital sales tools and products.

Following a recent restructure of the local leadership team across the region, the European Regional Director will lead a high-performing team of 8 Country GMs and a total headcount approaching 400. As a Board Member for each subsidiary business, the successful candidate will seek to deliver:

  • Top & Bottom-line earnings growth
  • Monitor and develop the brand, media, digital & sales management processes to drive business performance
  • Continually analyse and validate market and business strategies
  • Strategically analyse the future product roadmap and work with local leadership to develop and execute successful product launches
  • Ensure the successful roll-out and implementation of the group’s new bespoke IT platform across the region
  • Successfully harness and deploy the group’s recently developed e-commerce/digital sales tools across the region
  • Harmonise processes and systems across the region to deliver synergies and maximise efficiencies

As a proven business leader with a demonstrable track record of delivery in similar Managing Director roles, you will:

  • Motivate and lead culturally diverse teams through vision and focus
  • Possess exceptional commercial acumen
  • Have a proven track record in managing and developing direct marketing and sales operations
  • Experience in delivering turnaround and change management projects
  • Have successfully undertaken a similar leadership role for a B2C multinational business
  • Possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to appreciate the nuances of leading businesses across different international markets
  • Possess strong language skills whilst ideally being fluent in either French, Spanish, or Italian
  • Will likely hold a postgraduate qualification MBA.
